This week has been more of the same…meetings and conversations and emails and preparing for tomorrow’s conference:

Unlock The Power Of The Church, Streatham Baptist.
Den is speaking, Luke Hamlyn is leading worship and Envizage (Dave and Rachel) are performing. It’s all to do with equipping people to share their faith and Rich has organised it. We have around 100 people booked which is very exciting and we are praying for God to move powerfully in people’s lives, enabling them to share their faith with those around them.
Keel has managed the tech for the event and is operating sound and lights, while I’m on visuals. We have to be at the church at 7am tomorrow morning to set up for a 10.30 start, which means leaving the office at 5.30am which means getting up about 4.20am! I’m not really looking forward to that bit, but looking forward to the day in general!  The conference is organised in partnership with Premier Radio and their Love London initiative.

I’ve been back 3 days now and loving it! So far it’s been lots of admin type bits, sending emails, creating folders and generally organising myself! Also been having meetings with various people within Viz-A-Viz Ministries. A new team is emerging which consists of Rich Powney, Claire Parry, Sam La Roche, Andrew Keel and myself. We’re currently working out exactly what our role is and how it will all work, which we probably won’t know for some months yet as we try things out! We’re existing to serve Viz-A-Viz Ministries in creating and delivering events, training sessions for the new Check It Out Team, retreats and Bible Studies. We’ve all got different skills and passions and will be pursuing these as well as combining them for God to use and do great things through us! It’s very exciting! We’re all under 30 and along with wisdom and experience from those above us hope to inject some enthusiasm, creativity and ‘newness’ into what Viz-A-Viz Ministries does through. We’re really seeking God to know what He wants us to do!

I’m settling in to my new abode, had a lovely housewarming on Monday night with Claire and Karen. I’ve got Holby City, Waterloo Road and Hollyoaks on Sky+ Series Link so I’m all set! I’m having to learn how to feed myself…any advice on living on a budget/cupboard essentials etc would be much appreciated!!!

I’m in!! After filling Sarah’s car to the brim (with much needed help from Maddie!) I said thank you and goodbye to Tricia and Lucy and we travelled the 10mins to Billericay. Claire and Karen are out at Kat Spillers Hen Do today so had the house to myself to start sorting out. Keel was round to help and was very patient with my bossiness and grumpiness!! My room is a tip…but I know where everything is and it will all gradually get sorted!

My bed currently is a borrowed mattress on the floor-I have a bed frame coming sometime soon but need a single mattress if anyone knows of one going free/cheap!

Tomorrow morning I’m off to Sawyers Church in Brentwood and am looking forward to catching up with my new housemates at some point!!

The meeting today went very well and I’m so excited about starting next week! I will give you more details in due course, thank you very much for your prayers!

This evening I have spent the best part of 5 hours packing my room into suitcases, boxes and carrier bags. I do not know how I can possibly have so much stuff when I’ve recently had a clear out and I’m fairly sure it’s not all going to fit in my new room!! I guess we’ll find out tomorrow! My sister’s coming at 9.45ish in the morning to collect me and my stuff…I’m hoping it all fits in one car load!
